Terms of sale

These terms cover Cloud subscriptions, credit packs and, where relevant, services billed to institutions under contract.

Professionals

VERA is sold to professionals (laboratories, services, firms, court-appointed experts). The consumer withdrawal right under the French Consumer Code does not apply. If you are not acting as a professional, do not open a subscription and write to alexandre@veraforensics.com.

Institutions

Institutions do not pay by card. A contract (annual licence, pilot, maintenance or custom) sets the price, duration and seats. The licence key is issued in the account, never by email. Billing is outside Stripe Checkout.

Cloud subscription

Independent seat is a monthly subscription per analyst seat, price shown in the account exclusive of tax. It includes a credit allowance each period. Amounts, included credits, trial length and the markup are configurable by VERA Forensics; the figures in force are those shown in the account and in the administration console.

Payment is processed by Stripe. VERA Forensics does not store card numbers. Invoices and the payment method are managed in the Stripe Customer Portal, opened from the account.

Unless cancelled, the subscription renews each period. Cancellation at period end is requested from the portal.

Trial

The Trial installer (fictitious Roussel case) activates with an offline key, without an account. A Cloud trial, when granted on an account, lasts the number of days shown in the account (fourteen by default) with the credit allowance shown (five thousand by default). After that: either a Full institutional licence (new request) or a Cloud subscription.

Credits

Credits measure AI use (assistant, meaning-based search, transcription). Debits follow processor prices and the markup shown in administration. When the balance reaches zero those features stop; local views remain usable.

Packs (twenty euros and one hundred euros exclusive of tax, unless shown otherwise) add credits. They do not expire while the organisation has an active Cloud access. A pack is sold only to an organisation that already holds a subscription (or an independent plan).

Prices and VAT

Prices on the site and in the account are exclusive of tax. French VAT is added at checkout once Stripe Tax is registered for Ossire SASU. Until that registration, the exclusive price is collected and VAT, if due, is settled outside the card flow.

An intra-Community VAT number can be entered at checkout.

Failed payments and refunds

A declined payment puts the subscription past due. VERA Forensics may cut AI then Cloud access. A pack fully refunded by Stripe leads to the matching credits being withdrawn.

Governing law

French law. Courts of Paris, subject to mandatory venue rules.
